Sometimes religious imagery undergoes a metamorphosis into "pop" iconography. Sometimes "pop" icons are diefied and become religious figures. In either case, worship keeps the images vital. My work is an attempt to search out and define the spark of the divine. I have found that often images created with humble materials in a humble style have a beauty of the purest sort. Keeping this in mind, I build my sculptures using the cast-off discards of our society.
